The Story Behind inHouse VFX

It all started at a time when you still had to learn VFX from books because the internet didn't exist like it does today :) Later we started building teams and coordinating us using Trillian and online forums to create effects for movies and commercials with other like-minded artists. This expanded our network and we professionalized ourselves through our studies at the Filmakademie Baden Württemberg and FH Emden for Mediatechnology and freelance work for many national and international companies.

The first major project for inHouse VFX started in 2015 - we worked as an inHouse unit for 20th Century Fox "Hitman Agent 47" and realized almost 50 final shots, containing Set Extensions, Green Screen Keying and Clean Ups. Apparently, we did so well that we were subsequently booked as an inHouse unit on other national and international projects. The tasks grew, became more complex and so the team expanded. And over time, the time came for us to realize larger projects as an independent vendor or as a combination of VFX supervisor and main vendor. But we remained true to our roots and therefore we were always happy to work directly in productions as an experienced in-house unit. Most recently on "Matrix 4" and "Alien Romulus". Let's see what comes next.
